Greywell Cyber was founded by practitioners from critical infrastructure, digital forensics and incident response, and identity and access management. We run the practice for a select number of clients, each working directly with the senior people doing their work.
Why We Built Greywell
We saw organisations buying security tools they did not understand and frameworks they could not follow, while the people who could explain them sat several layers away from the client. Greywell is built the other way round. The person you brief is the person who designs, builds, tests or investigates, and the person who writes your report.
Our Background
The founding team's careers run through critical infrastructure, digital forensics and incident response, and identity and access management. Each engagement is staffed with practitioners who hold the skills and certifications it calls for.
What We Believe
Security is useless if it cannot be understood. A network its own team can explain is easier to defend and cheaper to change, so every design, build, test and investigation we deliver ends in writing your people can act on.
How We Work
Every engagement is scoped and contracted before work starts: what is in scope, what it costs, who does the work and when you will have the results. Where an engagement needs more hands, we bring in practitioners we know, working under our direction and the same contract.
What We Build
The free tools on this site are ours: a subnet calculator, a password generator, a route summariser, a security headers checker and a networking quiz. We have built and shipped our own web and mobile platforms handling special category data, where the standard of data protection has to be the highest there is, and we build websites, mobile applications and bespoke software for clients to the same standard. The guides share the design practice behind our network work.
